Former Executive Vice Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer of the California State University System, Professor and Provost Emerita, Fresno State

Professor Echeverria served the twenty-three campus California State University (CSU) system as its chief academic officer until 2010 when she retired.  As Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, she participated in the national movement to increase graduation rates in higher education, championed a statewide initiative to improve the experience of students transferring from community colleges to four-year universities and colleges, as well as advocating for the quality of academic programs offered to the largest cumulative student body in the nation, the CSU. Professor Cooper teaches ‘Being a Leader: An Ontological Phenomenological Approach’ and ‘Public Policy for Children and Youth’ at the Luskin School of Public Affairs at UCLA. She received her MSW and PhD in Social Work from Luskin. As a social entrepreneur and specialist in the study and implementation of what’s next for human services, Dr. Cooper uses long-standing relationships with policy-makers, leading practitioners, and consumers to shield and guide California’s organizations, both public and private, through reform initiatives. Dylan Stafford

Entering his 20th year at UCLA, Dylan is committed to educating managers and leaders for the 21st Century. He is part of the leadership team for the Fully Employed MBA Program at UCLA Anderson, which is and has been the highest-ranked part-time MBA program in southern California since 1996, and the second largest of the over 125 graduate programs at UCLA.

Dylan completed this Leadership Course with Dr. Cooper in 2016. He credits that experience with catalyzing him to write his second book and launch the UCLA Drive Time podcast. He partnered with Dr. Cooper and Dr. Amy Waterman to bring the Leadership Course to UCLA in the summers of 2018 and 2019 – courses completed by over 200 participants, many of whom were university faculty from six continents.

Dylan earned his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and his BA from Texas A&M University majoring in History with a Spanish Minor.
